I remember the first time that I noticed a sign for Step into Life Berwick, I almost drove into a ditch and caused an accident! I’d done Step into Life before, but seeing that there was a new venue in my local area, I got so excited and immediately called up my family to share the news! Since joining Berwick, I love my training more than ever. I love the fact that every session is different, because you never get bored, and Saturday breakfast after a cardio session is a great way to catch up with all of my friends. Tan and Izzy are excellent personal trainers, they know how to get the best out of you, but always make things fun and interesting. I have had some great results since joining Step into Life Berwick, I’m stronger than ever before, my endurance has improved significantly and my clothes fit much better than ever before. I love it – and I’m sure you will too – having your own personal trainers is far better than going to the gym!

I have been going three times a week to Step into Life for nearly two years now! I have never ever stuck to any exercise program for even 6 months in a row.

Step Into Life has kept me motivated for a number of different reasons, the sessions vary from day to day, its never boring, the social company is always friendly, I laugh so much with some of my Step into Life groupies and the trainer is not only an exceptional motivator he is also great fun to be around.

As a health promotion professional I’m trained to spot excellent community initiatives that help to reduce social isolation and promote good health and this is one of them. I recommend Step into Life because I personally love it and because professionally it’s an excellent program.

Comments about :

My name is Enzo Caporale and I will be 50 years young at my next birthday (29th December 2007 if you feel the need to buy me a present).

I've had high blood pressure for some 10 years now which has been kept under control with prescription drugs.
Being overweight & having bad knees ( from work injury) , I decided to do something for my self & try to get fit. I began training with Step into Life Reservoir under the ever watchful eyes of Ben Roarty. Just after 2 1/2 months of training, my blood pressure has returned to a normal rate; my knees still hurt BUT no way near as much, my doctor cannot believe the change , all he keeps telling me to do, is keep it up!

I cannot speak more highly of Ben and his trainers at Reservoir & recommend to all to do something for yourself & have fun doing it.

Comments about :

Hello everyone! I have been an SiL member at Mawson Lakes since October 2007 (just shortly after it had started). I remember how hard it was to get out of bed for my first 6:00AM session but now I am thoroughly addicted! I look forward to every session.

I have been participating in orienteering and fun-runs for many years now and this has kept me reasonably active over the winter months. However I found that once the City-Bay Fun Run was finished, then so was my commitment to fitness. I would do very little over the summer months. My goal was to find something that I could enjoy all year round. Visiting a gym did not appeal to me, but an “outdoor gym” like SiL seemed to fit the bill.

And what a find it has been for me! Already after only 4 months, I have noticed a distinct increase in my fitness levels. Yes, I have a long way to go with muscle toning, but I have noticed how much easier the first two or three kilometers of a run have become. I have not felt this fit for years!

Training outdoors suits me. It seems right and the landscape and the weather change. Training with a friendly and motivated group of people helps a lot. There is nothing better than receiving a word or two of encouragement from another group member. It makes you go that extra metre or so. The social side of SiL is a great motivator in itself. It certainly beats the lonely “jog-slog” around the suburban block.

Our trainer, Craig, has been instrumental in helping me achieve some early goals. His skill at providing training sessions that cater for everyone’s different needs amazes me. He makes full use of the SiL equipment, lesson plans, and the surrounding environment. Every single training session has been different. Compare that to a hum-drum, and predictable routine session at your local gym. Craig’s training skills, together with a touch of humour, and a small amount of friendly coercion are the drivers behind enjoyable training sessions.

I recommend Step into Life to anyone who wants to improve their fitness and who wants to enjoy themselves at the same time.
