Comments about Step into Life®:
I’m finding the sessions motivating and varied. Randall finds the time to check everybody’s technique regardless of the size of the group. I could not do the intensity or length of sessions on my own. Randall is always positive and friendly, but knows when to push you and get the most out of you

Comments about Step into Life®:
Barbara & I moved to Perth a year ago from New Zealand. We love it here, our goal was to live in a warm place, have some adventures and meet new people. Doing pretty well on all points so far!
I came from a mechanical background, though I’ve been selling transport equipment including trucks, trailers & Fire appliances for many years, been through a host of life’s adventures including marrying young, raising three kids, divorce, depression, cancer and finally finding out that much of life is pretty simple really - You have to take time to “Listen to the Wind”
”Sometimes if you want to see a change for the better, you have to take things into your own hands”
- Clint Eastwood
“If you want to feel proud of yourself, you’ve got to DO things you can be proud of. Feelings follow actions” - Oseola McCarty
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
How do I feel about Step Into Life? I’ve written the poem below which says it all…….
Step into Life, the sign in the marketplace sez,
Our instructor’s a bloke that we call Les.
When you join our regime you’ll learn to train in Emerald Park,
From the moment it’s light, till when it goes dark.
The scope of the benefits to you, are truly immense,
The training to get you there, grossly intense,
We hope you love cardio and burning those buns.
Cause Les, our instructor is planning on strenuous runs.
There’ll be plenty of lunges and lifting of weights,
No time, guys & girls, to talk with your mates.
And when finally you can hold a 5 minute plank,
There’ll be only two people that you have to thank.
Good one Les, I’ll be back, 6am sharp!

Comments about Step into Life®:
The Modbury Step into Life trainer Steve Butler is a great motivator. I think of him as the quiet achiever, there’s no agro or put downs just a quiet word here and there to each individual as well as our group motivational speeches.
Every member achieves so much and no matter what their goal, Steve helps them strive towards it.
On a personal level my fitness has improved tremendously and I am reaching goals I never thought would be possible. Age has no barriers its all in the mind and Steve has helped me overcome some of the barriers I thought were there.
We have a great group of people and we thoroughly enjoy our “Coffee Club” after training sessions.
My daughter Lynnette introduced me to Step into Life, she knew I would enjoy it as much as she does.

Comments about Step into Life®:
About eighteen months ago I heard a presentation about Step into Life to student personal trainers and thought to myself that is what I have been looking for in my own training. So I contacted them the next day. The trainers (Shannon, John and Amy) are very supportive and allow you to work towards your personal fitness goals in a friendly non threatening environment. This year I learnt how to run and in September 2008 was able to complete the City to Bay 12km fun run (without stopping) after not being able to run more than 1 minute in July of 2008 - 4 years earlier then I had expected.

Comments about Step into Life®:
I initially started Step into Life as a way of keeping fit over summer when I was not playing soccer. I quickly realised that this training would deliver far more than I had initially imagined it could.
The reasons for this are the wide variety of exercise and routines that we do. Training for a specific sport is generally geared towards the skills and fitness needed for that sport, whereas Step into life training is far more comprehensive. I found myself training well outside of my normal comfort zone and achieving in areas where I had previously been poor. I particularly like the fact that there is a wide range of sessions from road running, to blitz to short sharp hi intensity and to marathon sessions. You never really know which session you will be doing until you arrive at the venue.
Another key factor for me is the close attention from working with a qualified PT who can observe you training. Tracy can identify areas of weakness then assist with goal setting and target specific improvements. I have improved my leg strength and my speed off the mark as well as my ability to run much longer distances than I had been able to previously. I was surprised at the number of exercises I had previously done that I was doing incorrectly. Some small technical changes by Tracy made a huge difference allowing me to gain maximum benefit from the training.
To me the benefits of group training and the bonding with a wide range of other people has been tremendously beneficial. The sessions are so well structured that everyone can achieve at his or her own level as part of a group. I don’t believe anyone could achieve the same levels of fitness training by themselves.
I have been with Tracy at the Canningvale Step into Life for five months now, I am in far better shape for the start of this season than I have ever been. My initial plan was to only sign on for 3 months over summer. I have been so impressed that I will definitely be keeping my training going all year round. I would like to send a quick thank you message to my fellow early morning training partners who make this all worthwhile. Good luck to all Step into Life members,
See you all on “the track”
